If you love rugged good looks, a sense of humor, and a dash of wisdom and maturity, then we should meet.  My name is Chief. I like to be called "Big Chief" but my foster mommy often calls me "Chief Chief".  I forgive her even though it embarrasses me.

 

 

 

I'm looking for love too but that's it. I don't need good looks, just someone to love and care for me and play with me too.

 

 

 

I am about 5 - 6 years old but don't let age fool you. I love to play with toys and especially female dogs.  I have been living with a 6 year old child but since I am strong and can get caught up in playing, I may be too big and strong for a family with young children.

 

 

 

I am in excellent health but do have a heart condition that the vet said I was born with.  The doctor is amazed and says that I am a big word called "anomaly" and as a result, may live many more years.

 

 

 

I don't enjoy crates but I'm a trustworthy guy in the house and do fine confined to one room of the house if necessary.  

 

 

 

I don't like to talk much about my past before coming into rescue but I was abused and looked pitiful when LSBR saved me.  We won't name names but a "very bad person" jerked me around a lot by the collar.  It hurt and therefore, I don't like when someone does that to me.  Hey, isn't that what leashes are for? Leashes are a great invention.
