Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Ross (Roscoe) is a healthy, and very handsome, one-year-old fawn male. This poor boy was dumped at a vet by his previous owner after he was hit by a car. The accident broke Roscoe’s rear leg, and, unable to repair the break, the vet was forced to amputate his leg. Due to his youth, Roscoe has adjusted beautifully, and he loves to run (fast) and play with the other dogs in his foster home. Because he only has three legs, Roscoe will need to be kept fit and trim. He does appear to be food and water bowl aggressive with other dogs (not humans). Roscoe is crate and house trained, loves to travel, and is ready to find a loving forever home.
