Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

AVAILABLE FOR LSBR'S FOREVER FOSTER PROGRAM.
Hi everybody.....my name is Rueger and I'm a distinguished, mature fellow about 7 years old.  But don't let my age fool you.....I've got plenty of pep in my step!  You know what they say....7 is the new 3!  I'm doing well in my foster home......I get along well with my foster siblings and the children of the house but, please, no cats!  I really enjoy playing with my toys, going for car rides, as well as a good walk!  I'm house trained and am working on crate training.  I also know some basic commands like 'sit', 'lay down', and 'speak'.  I talk for treats........My foster mom says that I should have been named 'Scooby'!
 
My temporary foster home is a fabulous place but I really, really would like to have a forever home of my own!
