I'm Ryder, and I'm a young guy that has had a pretty miserable time during my less-than-one-year life. Do you know what a bait dog is? Well, believe me, it's not anything that any dog should have to go through. But that's all in the past now, and I'm so relieved to be starting a new life! And I am a really sweet boy. I like other dogs, and I don't mind hanging out with cats. I also enjoy children! I can be a little timid when first introduced (to animals or people), but I quickly overcome my shyness when I realize that I'm with friends. I'm crate and house trained, too! I spent Thanksgiving being so grateful to have been rescued by LSBR, and I hope hope HOPE that some nice family will fall in love with me very soon and give me a ride to my forever home. I'm way overdue for some cuddles!
(1/4/08) Just wanted to pop in and tell ya I have won the hearts of my foster family! The rumor is I am a pretty good pup who understands "no-off-come-kennel"...I am working on the "sit" thing but I kinda sorta want the treat first, hehehe. I am doing real well on keeping four on the floor, and am quiet as a mouse in my crate (sometimes they forget where I am-sheesh!). My foster parents smile at me a lot so they must think I am a kewl lookin' dude. But I have to be honest and tell ya I have a couple vices, I know I know, I look perfect in pictures. My foster Mom has caught me red-pawed so I figure the best thing is to fess up. I like to counter surf and sometimes if I am bored I *might put my mouth on something other than a toy. See! It wasn't as bad as you thought, right? I just need a little supervision until I get solid on house rules. Now for the good stuff! I am a perfect gentleman on a leash; I don't pull, try to run, or tangle anyone up-and I am friendly to everyone. Great, huh? And get this...there are two cats in this house and I am very good around them! Life is nice here but nothing is better than having a permanent address. I could be delivered to your house lickety split-just say the word!
