Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

I'm a precious little jewel that was named Ruby by the wonderful woman who rescued me. She thinks I am the sweetest girl, and she's right! I can't figure out how I ended up homeless because I get along so well with everyone: people of all ages, dogs and cats (even when we are sharing the same couch and human friend!). I think I'm somewhere around 5 years old, and I am house trained. Not too sure about the crate, but I bet I'd be just fine in one. You know what I love more than anything? (Well, besides a good meal, a warm bed and a big hug?) Chasing balls! Balls of all sizes, from soccer to tennis. I can't resist them! So now you know most of what will make me happy - the only thing missing is my very own family! Ruby will not be available until late August 2008.
