Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Rumor (now Chloe)
Rumor (now Chloe)

Rumor (now Chloe) is doing great. She has gained 3.3 pounds and has adjusted to her new home great. She loves hanging out with us. When we are in the pool she loves to lay in the shade in the grass, when we mow she will walk the entire yard with us, she is always the hit of the cul-de-sac when we hang out with the neighbors. We made our first road trip this past weekend and she did fantastic!! Slept, hung her head out the window, slept, stood on the console to watch out the front window, slept…well you get the picture. We visited my family where she was the only girl among my parent’s three male large dogs. She was the hit of the farm. She was a bit of a flirt and loved instigating chase. She won the race against all of them, but I think mostly loved being able to run! We were also there for my nephew’s 2nd Bday party, where there were 25 friends and family members funneling in and out. She again was the hit of the party. Greeted everyone at the door, ensured that the floor was completely clean, let all ages pet her, and of course slept…thank you both for bringing Chloe into our lives! She is absolutely wonderful.
