Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

ADOPTION PENDING!!!

Meet Finn......I'm a sweet, 2 year old boy who, as you can see, has had a rough time of it lately! Well actually, I have lived my first two years as no dog should have to live!  When you see that smile on my face, just know that I'm smiling because I'm so happy to now be in the LSBR program!

I have a skin condition called demodex mange which is brought on by stress.  Now that I'm in the good hands of LSBR, I've been getting the treatment I need to get well and my foster mom reports that my fur is filling in very good and I'm gaining some much needed weight!

In my foster home, I'm doing well with my three fur siblings!  They sometimes want to play but honestly, I'm a big 'ole couch potato!  I enjoy my walks and I do very well on a leash; however, one of my favorite activities is following my foster mom around all day....I just love being with her! I also must admit that I love to sit with my head on her shoulder and just cuddle!  There are no kids in my foster home but I'm pretty certain I would like them!  I have yet to be evaluated with cats.

My foster mom says that I'm crate trained, house broken and know basic commands like 'sit' and 'shake'.  I'm what you would call 'an easy dog'!  I don't get on furniture, I don't bark excessively, and I don't beg for food!  That's got to be very appealing on so many levels!
